The Department will integrate AI and digital tools throughout teaching, research and practical learning, including Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Elicit, Consensus, NotebookLM, SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Power BI, Tableau, Google Forms, KoboToolbox, ArcGIS and QGIS. These tools will enable students to conduct AI-assisted research, analyze social and demographic data, undertake surveys and qualitative studies, visualize trends, explore public opinion and social behavior, and develop technology-enabled solutions to real-world social challenges, with a strong emphasis on responsible and ethical use of AI.
